The Rapture Has Come! Broadway Welcomes Home Sherie Rene Scott

Nothing makes us happier than seeing one of Broadway's favorites back where they belong: center stage. In Everyday Rapture, star and co-writer Sherie Rene Scott doesn't just stand in the spotlight...she turns it on her life, twisting everything from her religious upbringing to fights with fans via YouTube into hilarious fodder for this semi-autobiographical musical. The show, now playing at the American Airlines Theatre, had its opening night on April 29--and we took the opportunity to hit up the red carpet to chat with Scott, her co-stars, director Michael Mayer, book writer Dick Scanlan and a whole line of big name fans about what makes Everyday Rapture unlike anything else on Broadway right now.
